Together with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), ICMC has begun a new project intended to promote refugee resettlement in Europe by strengthening the engagement of European Union Member States

The fifteen-month project is financed by the European Commission and is jointly implemented by ICMC, IOM and UNHCR. Participating countries include Belgium, France, Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, the United Kingdom, Slovakia and Sweden.

The project will be officially launched in Timisoara, Romania in early March 2010, when resettlement and integration officials of the participating Member States, NGOs and representatives of the European Commission, IOM and UNHCR will meet for a briefing on the purposes and objectives of the new initiative.
